2028 Is Too Late recently joined organizations worldwide in signing on to this letter urging global leaders at COP30 to resist Trump’s policies.
Friends of the Earth recently notified us about a Letter to Global Leaders at COP30 To Resist Trump that they were organizing. They asked groups from around the world to sign on to this letter calling for global leaders to resist Trump’s fossil fuel bullying and attempts to undermine any progress toward climate justice.
As world leaders gathered to address the climate crisis, the U.S. did not send representatives to the UN climate negotiations for the first time in decades. While much of the world builds towards climate progress, the Trump Administration is aggressively pushing a dirty energy future onto the world, all to benefit its billionaire donors.
The alarming boom of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) exports driven by the U.S. is a disaster for consumers, the climate, and our communities. Already, the Trump Administration has used coercive tactics to push countries into adopting dirty energy policies and financing infrastructure.
2028 Is Too Late signed on to this letter calling on world leaders to reject Trump’s fossil fuel agenda— joining the call to demand that world leaders stand firm for a just climate future.
